Celem powstałej wystawy jest przedstawienie Mariensztatu jako wizytówkę powojennej Warszawy oraz symbol marzeń i pragnień obywateli stolicy po piekle i smutkach jakich dostarczyła im II Wojna Światowa. Inspiracją dla zaprojektowanej ekspozycji były, odbywające się na Mariensztacie w latach 40. i 50., liczne ludowe zabawy. Realizacja projektu oparta jest przede wszystkim na obłych, płynnych kształtach, których całokształt nawiązuje do ruchu w tańcu. Natomiast lekkie wznoszenie warstw kojarzy się z odbudową stolicy i powstaniem osiedla Mariensztat.

The purpose of the exhibition is to present Mariensztat as a showcase of post-war Warsaw and a symbol of the citizens’ dreams and desires after the hell and sorrows that World War II gave them. The inspiration for the designed exhibition were numerous folk dances taking place at Mariensztat in the 1940s and 1950s. The implementation of the project is based primarily on round, fluid shapes, whose totality relations to movement in dance. On the other hand, slight layers’ lift is associated with the reconstruction of the capital and the creation of the Mariensztat estate.

GETTING RID OF SPACE RUBBISH

Intencją zaprojektowanej wystawy jest uświadomienie odwiedzających o istocie problemu związanego z rosnącą liczbą śmieci występujących w przestrzeni kosmicznej. Realizacja plastyczna projektu wystawy jest głównie zainspirowana mechanizmami wykorzystywanymi w konstrukcji satelitów przechwytujących z ramionami robotycznymi. Powtarzający się motyw trójkątów wynika z uproszczenia kształtów licznych odłamów oraz nieczynnych obiektów stanowiących śmieci kosmiczne. Kolorystyka nawiązuje do barw uchwyconych na wielu zdjęciach satelitarnych przedstawiających przestrzeń okołoziemską.

The intention of the designed exhibition is to make visitors aware of the essence of the problem associated with the growing number of garbage found in space. The artistic implementation of the exhibition design is mainly inspired by the mechanisms used in the construction of interception satellites with robotic arms. The repeating motiv of triangles results from the simplification of the shapes of numerous fragments and disused objects in space. The color scheme refers to the colors captured in many satellite images depicting the surrounding space.
